OAG member and Appleton Docent, Ruth Dexheimer, provided an insightful tour of currently featured Museum exhibits for an appreciative audience of about 20 OAG members.
The tour included OAG member John D. Elliott’s solo exhibit in the balcony space reserved for renowned Florida artists. John’s photographic exhibit opened in June 2025 and runs through January 2026. Below are a few photos taken by John’s younger daughter during his talk that gave us a deeper appreciation of the 42 photographs culled from The Human Pulse series. In these sepia-toned photographs John captured images of people in everyday life experiences in off-the-beaten-path locations in more that 20 countries over a timespan from 1983 to the present. The threads of humanitarianism. the universality of human life, dire challenges, joys, and celebrations of life run through this evocative display.
Members enjoyed dining and socializing at a nearby restaurant after the tour.
