First V.P .Janine Sadki offered an amazing list of exciting new opportunities for OAG members to exhibit and sell their work.
Ocala Magazine’s summer Art Issue featured two articles about OAG! John D. Elliott, Publicity chair, and Monica Coburn, along with several other members had worked hard to provide information and images for the two articles. Thank you to OM and our hard-working Board for putting the spotlight on OAG artists!
Copies of the special issue were distributed to members attending the meeting.
Several members have scheduled solo shows at South State Bank, and art is selling at the Circuit venues.
Jordan Shapot
An enthusiastic crowd welcomed Jordan Shapot as our first presenter of the season. Jordan is a well known and highly respected artist in the vibrant Ocala art community. He is honored to have a feature article in the summer 2026 issue of The Ocalan.
Jordan has explored many styles of art, from early works of hyper-realism to forms of abstraction in his current works.
Jordan showed a captivated audience his step-by-step approach to painting an abstract with a grayscale photo as his inspiration or jumping off point.
Thank you, Jordan for an inspiring demonstration that left us wanting to learn more from you!
